Newline Syndicate 1218 at Lloyd’s is managed by Newline Underwriting Management Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Odyssey Group Holdings, Inc. whose companies are collectively known as the Odyssey Group. Newline Underwriting Management Limited is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority and Newline Syndicate 1218 is approved to underwrite by the Lloyd’s Franchise Board. All Lloyd’s Syndicates are rated “AA-” (Very Strong) by Standard & Poor’s, “A+” (Superior) by AM Best and also benefit from the Lloyd’s chain of security.
Newline Syndicate 1218 transacts business at its underwriting box on the first floor of Lloyd’s, with administrative support being located at 1 Fen Court, London. In addition, we operate service companies in Singapore, Melbourne, Malaysia and Toronto that provide local, customised service for Newline Syndicate 1218; an underwriting division within Lloyd’s Insurance Company (China) Limited in Shanghai; and in Mexico in conjunction with the Lloyd’s representative office in Mexico City; with full binding authority to underwrite the entire range of casualty products offered by Newline Syndicate 1218.
